Application & Recruitment Process
To those interested in applying to Sigma Pi Sigma, we're excited to have you! As a newer organization, recruitment means a lot to us and we want everyone to be aware of the process and hard deadlines.
Fall Recruitment Timeline
Early Week 0
Enormous Activities Fair Booth
Come find our booth and visit us at the Enormous Activities Fair to learn more, meet members, and get involved.
End of Week 0 / Beginning of Week 1
General Info Sessions
As the application process begins, look out for our general informational session and make sure to come to get any pressing questions answered!
Week 1
Applications Open
The day of our first Info Session we will open applications and keep them open until end of Week 2 -- make sure you submit the form on time!
End of Week 1
Acceptances & Decisions Released
After deliberation amongst our board, we will send out decisions regarding who we've accepted as our new member class.
Beginning of Week 2
Welcome to the Chapter Event
Make sure you can make it to our first welcome event to introduce you to the community of Sigma Pi Sigma!
Spring Recruitment Cycle
If you applied to our organization during our Fall Recruitment cycle and received rejection, please don't be discouraged and know that persistence in joining is absolutely taken into account! You don't have to wait until next year to apply again either–we have another opportunity for you to apply again mid-year and be involved going forward! This cycle will occur during the beginning of Spring Quarter and will allow these members to participate in our annual Induction Ceremony the following year. Make sure to follow our instagram linked in our contact page so you don't miss any information, and feel free to show up to any of our events that are open to the physics community in general. For those events, the more the merrier!
